Key points:
Having the Consumer Advice sticker pasted onto covers of comics is a welcomed move. It could be improved by standardizing the stickers to have both English and Chinese wordings for monolingual parents.

The group feels that in order to achieve a more objective assessment of comics, a committee needs to be formed. The volume and diversity of comics is quite a lot to handle. The committee should consist of members from diverse backgrounds, age groups and professions.

The group feels that because a comic is made up of both graphics and words, and often consists of a series of works, its review may require more time. This is so as to determine whether the graphics under question is closely related to its content. Since it is difficult to have 2-3 person reading a comic at once, comics loaning service to the committee members, or other alternative ways, can be explored.

Consumer Advice should go hand in hand with public education of comics. Comic Literacy could be explored to help educate parents and teens on choosing the suitable comics.
